The Royals Game. Sort of.

My friend and I went to the Kansas City Royals game on Friday. They were playing the Chicago White Sox so I figured it was a sign for me to go. As we were driving in, the weather looked pretty bad but we were hoping some miracle might come along and clear it up. Well, we didn't even get to finish a whole inning before this happened:

It started pouring like crazy! The players left the field and then they covered it. :(
I know it's hard to see the rain but you can kind of tell how insane it was in this picture.
Don't worry, the fountains were still going.

Our seats were not covered so as everyone ditched, we moved back to get shelter. As you can see, we weren't the only ones. We waited for about an hour and then made a break for the car. By the time we got there, I looked like a drowned rat. It was so much fun to play in the rain though! I loved every splash in the puddles. The game ended up being postponed so hopefully we'll get to go back soon and use our tickets.

Instead of calling the night a total loss, we ended up getting takeout and watching a movie. It was still a great night! Things in Kansas are looking up. :) I get to go to an outdoor theater next weekend and watch The Producers. Can't wait!

I love The Producers. Have I mentioned I saw it on Broadway?
