The past couple of weeks have been quite a roller coaster in several different ways. First, we have the stinkin' weather. A week and a half ago the high was reported to be -2. It is impossible to understand this cold until you live it. In an effort to help you understand, I'll give you a little taste. Imagine walking outside and boogers you didn't even know you had have now frozen. If you open your mouth, your teeth now how a layer of ice covering them. I'm not saying I have it worse than the rest of the world, I'm just saying it's cold.
This past week, Spring poked it's cute little head out. We could smell the crispness and the double digit temps coming. I was so excited I almost put on shorts! Well, that only lasted a couple of days and winter came right back. It's currently 5 degrees outside and the only thing keeping me going are memories of the warmth. Yesterday, as a protest, I decided to do a little spring cleaning. Maybe if I pretend it's Spring, it will come. Yes, I know it's only January.
Another roller coaster would be with my job. I graduated from the BAP program two weeks ago. Yay! I still don't know where I am going to be permanently working. Boo. I went through three interviews and then got told that I would be staying in women's apparel but they weren't sure where yet. I am to wait for management to tell me where I'm going. My guess is that I am staying in junior tops. That would have been fine before but I got all excited about the prospect of leaving. It's drama drama drama in my department and I would have loved to start fresh somewhere else but such is life. I am enjoying my job but am in a constant struggle to enjoy the people around me. Well, no matter what happens, I am grateful. I really love it here and have been given an amazing opportunity. I won't take it for granted.
