The REAL taste of Chicago
After unpacking everything, we decided to visit the city and go to the "Taste of Chicago." Basically, restaurants from all around the city come and bring their best. Amazingly, everything we tried, we loved! Here are some of our favorites.

Roasted corn on the cob. So delicious! Even my mom, who has braces, couldn't resist.
The amazing turkey leg. This one took us good while to finish. Before.
During.
And after. As we were eating it, we had about ten other people come up to us and ask where we got it. It was fun to watch others eat it too. The booth was handing out paper towels rather than napkins!
Fried dough and homemade chips from Harry Carey's.
Afterwards, we went down the Magnificent Mile and stopped at Hershey and Ghiradelli's to cleanse our palletes. Gotta love the free samples.

Speaking of "Tastes of Chicago," if you haven't already been, you HAVE to go to Gino's East in downtown Chicago. It's sort of in the direction of the airport (sort of...), and it's the best place of AUTHENTIC Chicago Deep Dish pizza. Their thin crust is amazing, too, but if you're going for the Chicago experience, you have to go deep. Plus, they let you write on the walls and stuff so you can leave your "tag." :) Oh, and I know this sounds weird, but you have to see the bathroom there, too. It's pretty trippy.
Glad to hear you're moved in and safe, and SO glad you started a blog! Way to be, Shlee! :D
