Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party

My mom and I took a much needed vacation to Disneyland. (I know you're thinking, 'You just went to New York!' but let's face it, that was not a restful vacation.) Basically, I love Mickey Mouse and being there makes me incredibly happy. Thanks for going with me Mom!

We attended Mickey's Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party on the first night. Everyone dresses up including Mickey and Minnie. We got bags for trick-or-treating as soon as we walked in. Don't worry, we weren't shy and we got our fill too. :) There were all sorts of costumes out there. Everyone from princesses and baby Mickeys, to Jesus and a nun. That costume was actually a little scary.
Characters were in the streets dancing with the kids. Sully was so cute! He was seriously into it. You can see his attendant next to him making sure his arms don't hit any of the little munchkins. My mom fell in love with him on this night.

All of Disneyland was decorated.

Main street was adorable.
I now love Halloween more than ever.

The Haunted Mansion was all decked out in The Nightmare Before Christmas gear. Even the ride itself changed. It was really cool! My mom said this made the whole trip worth it.

Still in line for the ride.
The outside of the mansion.

My mom also fell in love with Jack. I never did understand the obsession over him while I worked at Disneyworld but for Halloween, I kinda dug him too.

This area was dedicated to the Day of the Dead. Very cool.

Disneyland entrance. Cute! Just seeing this made the trip worth it for me.Love him.

We stood in line for Autopia one night and when we were next in line, it shut down. Grr! They gave us fast passes for any ride we wanted though so we took them and ran. The next day we waited in line again and got to go. You can't have a trip to Disney without Autopia.

We couldn't resist a Mickey shaped pretzel. We seriously ate junk for three days straight. It was wonderful. We finally made it over to California Adventure. We pretty much walked down to Paradise Pier and parked our butts in line for California Screamin'. We went on it 3 times in a row. Love that ride!

Haha! Yummy hot dogs.

A fabulous place to sit down and eat.

California Adventure was all dressed up too. There was candy corn everywhere! There were candy corn stalks, candy corn in the palm trees, candy corn grapes, etc.

I even spent a little time laying out by the pool. It's a wonder I'm so white...
As a bonus, my flights got messed up on the way home so I got to spend a night at home! Woohoo! I hung out with the whole fam and it was fabulous.
It was really hard to eventually come back but I'm thinking of going back next week. Who's in?
