You know you're a Mormon when...

So my friend Blake and I were stuck in Chicago traffic which is pretty much stop and go anyway but we were merging about 5 lanes into 1 so it was even better. Well, I look over and there's this beautiful black corvette next to us with a license plate that says ST GEO UT. Here's the conversation that goes down as we crawl through traffic:

Ashlee: Do you think they're from St. George?

Blake: What?

Ashlee: That license plate says ST GEO UT.

(We are inching closer to the corvette as we're going through the tolls and I look over at Blake)

Blake (to the corvette): Roll down your window!

ST GEO: Huh?

Blake: Are you guys from Utah?

ST GEO: Yeah....how did you know?!

Blake: Your license plate says St. George Utah.

ST GEO: Oh yeah. Are you guys from Utah too?

Blake and Ashlee: Yeah!

Blake: Are you guys Mormon? (At this point I wanted to slither away in embarrassment but I couldn't not watch it.)

ST GEO: No. Are you?

Blake: Yeah!

ST GEO: That's a good thing to be! (True! I like it.)

We continued chatting finding out that they have a condo in Washington, Utah and Park City Utah, and as Blake pointed out to them, a corvette in Chicago. (Again, at this point, I wanted to die in embarrassment but laughter took complete control.) The closest place they recognized to where Blake is from was Ogden which really isn't close but if you have a condo in Park City, where else do you need to know? As the cars behind us began honking, we had to part from our new friends but we laughed about it for hours afterwards.

PS-we were on our way to Harry Caray's for dinner. HOLY COW! AMAZING.

Sorry I don't really have any pictures of lately but here's some of my cute niece and one my brother in law really wanted to see smeared all over the internet. I'm a good babysitter. (But seriously, she slept the longest she'd slept thus far in her life while I was "watching" her.)
